I recently worked with a person named Ruth (the name has been changed to protect the innocent) who needed help with insomnia. I went over her health history and listened to her talk about what issues she was dealing with.
I fell in love with yoga in 2001 which ultimately led me to Ayurveda. I started the formal education part of my journey in 2012, with yoga teacher training and completed my schooling in 2015 as a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 500 and as an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner from Kerala Ayurveda Academy.
Health and how to achieve it has been an interest for me for many many years ( I swear it's been in my head since the first grade!). As an insurance broker, I see insurance carriers adding "preventive care" to their plans, but IT'S NOT PREVENTIVE CARE, it's early detection.
Very few people understand that. That's where Ayurveda comes in. Learning how to take care of yourself (your individual self) is Preventive Care!
